Evidence of citizenship for Federal funding
In accordance with the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA), BITA is required to gather evidence of your citizenship for federal funding. In most cases providing a copy of your Medicare Card is sufficient, however in some cases you may need to supply an Australian Birth Certificate issued by Australian state or territory Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages or an Australian citizenship certificate issued by the Department of Immigration and Border Protection. A current Australian Passport will also suffice.
Proof of residency for Queensland state funding
Providing a copy of your Australian Drivers Licence with a current address on it is essential when enrolling at Baking Industry Training Australia. There’s two ways you can provide your proof of identity to BITA:
- Take a photo of the front and back of your Queensland Drivers Licence and the front of your Australian Medicare Card. Email these photos to bita.admin@nbia.org.au including your name in the email subject.
- Take a photo of the front and back of your Queensland Drivers Licence and the front of your Australian Medicare Card and text them to your trainer.
