The 2022 BITA Apprentice Awards took place in the ballroom at Victoria Park Golf Course on Wednesday 2nd of November. Queensland based Registered Training Organisation, Baking Industry Training Australia (BITA) (Provider #31200) supported the younger generation of the baking industry by rewarding baking and pastrycook apprentices for their skills, hard work, and dedication to their career.
25 awards were presented to first year, second year, and third year apprentices who demonstrate the highest standard of skill and knowledge in their qualification. In addition, the Overall Apprentice of the Year, and the Rising Star awards were also presented bringing the total to 27 awards.
The 2022 Overall Apprentice of the Year (Sponsored by MOI International) was awarded to Chloe Murray who also received the Third Year Apprentice of the Year award for the Bread Baking qualification. The Rising Star award (Sponsored by Angel Yeast) was presented to Ellie Cash who also received joint third place for the Apprentice of the Year Baking qualification category.
